"Happy"

The green sea turtle gets his name not from his color, but his diet. Depending on the species, sea turtles eat a diet of jellyfish, fish, crabs and plastic debris, which tends to resemble their food. The green sea turtle, on the other hand, is a vegetarian who thrives on sea grasses, sea weeds and algae. This particular turtle was photographed in Waimea Bay on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.
Six of seven species of sea turtles are now listed as endangered species. They are threatened due to warming water temperatures, plastic pollution, poaching and through bycatch from the fishing industry.
